# Meta/Facebook pixel

To manage Meta pixel consent with AppConsent, we'll create and configure an extra vendor, then trigger a tag containing the Meta pixel code based on the user's consent.

## Extra vendor "Meta" configuration

1. Create or edit your website source, then turn on [Enable Meta Consent Mode](/configuration/step-2-create-a-notice/2.1.-create-a-source.md#meta-consent-mode) under Advanced settings. The Meta global extra vendor and its purposes are added to the source.&#x20;
2. Save the source.

3. After creating a notice for this source, go to its Implementation section. The integration script now contains the Meta pixel base code. Replace {your-pixel-id-goes-here} with your own pixel ID, then add the script to the section `<HEAD>` of all your HTML pages.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Do not install the pixel twice**

The Facebook pixel base code must appear only once on a page. If the pixel is already installed on your website, remove the block from the integration script before adding it. Two installations on the same page would result in duplicated events.
{% endhint %}
